Have you ever thought of having a concert in New Zealand?

Would love to see you here again

  2. Christine Cue says:

Leo, my best memories of being a teenager were spending hours in my room listening to your music. Your music got me through some pretty rough times. I would save my baby sitting money to buy your LP’s. I think I even wrote you a letter. Now I have your songs on my portable device to listen to whenever I want. Isn’t technology wonderful! I tell my kids to listen for your finger snap during the song “When I Need You”. Was that intentional? Thanks for bringing me and so many others joy in our early years. It’s going way too fast. Thanks again.

  3. Colin Hannah says:

    Hey Boss how are ya???

Only way I can think of contacting you!
It’s been a long time???? – saw the docu on ‘the making of the new album’ awesome!!!!! got to get a copy
Riverdance killed me so for the last ten years I have been making rags for a living. Old farts here as I have Colin Fairley (record producer Evis Costello and more) working for me …….. sad when we lost the Big Fellah and Dave Q still ain’t talking to me and Blowdry is to important to talk to..
My next door neighbour (at work) is big mates with Mark W and Adrian N in fact drove Le Mans with Adrian a few years back. You should see his garage – we counted £16mill in the cark park one day. Yesterday there were only three ENZOs outside.
You know my home is always yours mate – if you get back to the UK it would be great to hook up. Dig out those 2″ 24s they are really worth revisiting!!! I am trying to buy an 820 for my garage – the missus will kill me but I figue there are a whole bunch of 24 tracks out there to be archived.
Come back if you have a mind to – seriously – Love your work!!!!!!
    COL

Great to see you Dueting it for the Kids in Sydney last night. You are an enduring legend, Leo!

    A new Fan:

Hi. I’m 23 years old and had never heard of you before last week. But after I bought the muppets season 2, I have not been able to get you off my mind. I went to my local record store and got both a new cd and an old vinyl of yours. Is there anyway i could mail a cover to you and possibly get an autograph? I swear, 2 weeks ago, I had no idea who you were. Now, you are the only singer I want to listen to!

  6. J. Paul says:

Leo-would need a private forum. Legal counsel for publisher advising to change the name of character-it’s just the intro as a background character-but your pretty crazy in a Hunter Thompson type of way. Also need background (year, etc.) for the following: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bDmUftrYTo
Glad to see you have no “handlers”; in the story they are required unfortunately.

Here’re some great pics and a cool review from the show with Chris Thompson + Fish, on 9th July 2010 in Germany:

  14. Jafar Atwi says:

I agree don’t be a stranger in Oz, Leo. It would be good to have a full evening of Leo Sayer in concert again. I think the last time there was a full evening of Leo Sayer was in 1999 when you did your UK summer tour of that year. It was brilliant and with you having set the show you and your band’s playing to on this tour thanks to your kind message responce to me, about the once in a lifetime tour for certain will be brilliant.

  15. Carol Haynes says:

Fantastic “Once in a Lifetime” concert tonight at the Newcastle Arena. Loved your set (which I thought was best) and I had the best seat in the house (front row dead centre – thanks fort he wave). Don’t be a stranger in Oz – come and do a tour in the UK again and give us a full evening of Leo. How do you keep your voice sounding so young and fresh sounding – if I closed my eyes I was transported back to the 70s ;)

  16. C says:

my dad told me, you were on the radio last night Leo, Birmingham was mentioned, and he asked me where is it I’m going to see Leo Sayer. I told him Birmingham. would love to catch up, so excited at seeing you in concert again, Leo.

  17. Brooke says:

Saw you at Manchester OILT OMG you were brilliant!!!!! hope you join the tour again should it be repeated.

  18. IrishP says:

What a fantastic performance you did in Manchester – Travelled over from Ireland as a DE fan but left converted. Only vaguely remember you from the 70’s as the 80’s were my era – just had to download “When I need you” today – your performance made my hair stand up – brilliant – please tour soon and come to Ireland!

  19. Paul Marriott says:

Hi Leo, saw you for first time on Old Grey Whistle Test, a few nights later to my great excitement you were the support act for Roxy Music. I believe that night in 1973 at De Montford Hall Leicester was the first gig on that tour, your first tour after releasing Silverbird. I saw you again last night at Liverpool and I have to say you’ve still got what it takes – you were the star of the show without a doubt. My wife got the tickets as a New Years present for me, I think she secretly wanted to see David Essex but even she said you were the best. Have a great life in Aus!

  20. Carol Templeman says:

Hi, Attended the OIAL gig at Manchester and you were FANTASTIC ,Hope you enjoyed yourself as much as we enjoyed seeing and listening to all your fantastic songs, Thanks , Carol xx

  21. Marcus Cahill says:

Yo only a few days to go now before seeing Leo Sayer, brilliant. My friend’s coming with me now too, she said. We should be there around mid afternoon time on Friday, our seat places are B3 L66 and B3 L67.
I wonder whether you’ll pass through Cheltenham on the way to Birmingham, from Wembly. What’s it feel like being on tour with The Osmonds, David Essex and the Bay City Rollers?
Be interesting to hear how its all going.

  23. melanie lavender says:

hi leo ,looking forward to seeing you at the liverpool arena tomorrow 26/6/2010. i still love all your songs

  25. Charlotte says:

Thank you for the posting of Leo’s interview, on BBC Radio 2. I found it on the site under the ‘Listen Again’ slot. Very interesting interview Leo, and good to know you’re writing a book that may turn into a movie. That’ll be brilliant if it does. And also good that there’s a plaque at Gretna/Gretna Green about your inspiration of your song ‘Moonlighting’.

  26. Ja Atwi says:

This morning featured The Osmonds and David Essex. I thought I’d let you know Leo, you were given a mention on This Morning, by David Essex, who said that the OIALT tour’s been done before and they’ve got you joining them on the tour this time.
Its brilliant you’re in the OIALT tour, Leo. Jackie x

  27. Debbie says:

Just had to say how refreshing it was to hear your interview on Radio 2 yesterday – so upbeat, positive and saying that every part of your life had been a joy and continuing learning curve. It was So different from the majority of people in the public eye who like to depict a picture of dragging themselves from a live of hardship and struggling on a daily basis with the burden of being in the public eye. You also gave such a wonderful bit of advice; focussing on the current 20 minutes and then the next 20 minutes but not to go over what could have been in the past nor worry about the future – deal with the moment.
Thank you. You completely cheered up my day.

  28. C says:

I’ve just discovered Leo was on Loose Women programme this lunch time. I had a feeling you’d be appearing on a television interview somewhere along the lines Leo. And are, I thought I missed the episode as I usually watch that programme. But very fortunately, I haven’t missed it as a friend of mine luckilly recorded it just for me, and let me know about it, so I’m going round to visit her and catch up to see Leo Sayer on that programme too. I thought I heard someone call out Leo, when I headed into town this afternoon now thankfully I know why.
Been listening to more Leo this morning from the album Leo Sayer.
Your song, More than I can say is a beautiful timeless song Leo.

  29. JoAnn says:

Dear Leo, If you had a chance to perform any 10 of your favorite songs in the world (not your own recordings), what would they be,and why?….Great lyrics, great melody, great emotion? Would love to hear a recording of the songs that are special to you. Best of luck on your tour. Break a leg!! Waiting patiently for you to return to the States, JoAnn

  30. Sherry says:

Leo, although I may not be the biggest fan and happened to discover your music by chance, you have a great soulful voice. Been listening to snippets of your songs and trying to figure out how to get some of that audio onto those new iPod nano mp3 player thingies (the ones like http://www.superstoresearch.com/-iPod+Nano) to take anywhere.

    Good luck for the future!

  31. mark says:

hi will you be touring new zealand or australia anytime soon cheers mark

  32. C says:

Wish you good luck Leo, with the rehearsals for the OIALT 2010 UK arena tour. I hope they go well for you and your band. Wish you long life filled with joy and success. More than I can say is a brilliant song, Leo. I’ve listened to the song none stop ever since Friday eve.

  33. Katie Anderson says:

    Hi Leo,
Just wanted to let you know that you continue to entertain new generations… my two-and-a-half year old daughter loves your episode of The Muppet Show. Everyday she says to me, “I want Leo Sayer!” Her favorite song is “The Show Must Go On.” She sings along and tries to copy your dance moves – it’s pretty adorable. Thanks for making good music!

  34. David From Tenerife says:

  35. Jackie Atwi says:

It was me Leo, who spoke to Adrian Coirns a few years ago in the late 90’s after seeing you in Blackpool and reading a newsletter of yours on one of your original websites. Well, I wasn’t going to let Adrian get away with it. Thankfully, more Leo Sayer albums got released. And the One Man Band re-issue series were released soon after. More than I can say is a brilliant song, Leo.

  36. Jackie Twi C says:

a car went past two little pip pip’s. thank you. and soon come online and o wish it was beginning of next month now. I listened to a song of Leo’s, More than I can say. I listened to it all night long.

  37. Jackie Twi C says:

I have a pic of Leo Sayer by my bed. And, I just love that little pop up note book of your’s Leo, on your homepage its brilliant, and brilliant to know you’re in London now and looking forward to the Once In A Lifetime tour. I’veJust realized, its two weeks from today when I will see you, yo. Bit nervous of coming on own for first time, but will do it especially to see you, Leo Sayer. Jackie Twi C’s been skipping and leaping around, leaps and bounds the place singing out loud and clear, LEOx

  38. Jackie Twi C says:

Leo Sayer’s More Than I Can Say is a favourite of mine too, and I too wish Leo, a long life, filled with joy and success. I’m a true fan of Leo’s for over 30 years, ever since 1976 and always will be.
Was about to have some tea but can’t eat now – also another thing, when I booked my ticket for the seventies show, I was told it would arrive seven days before the actual event and wow, I very fortunately receieved it a few days after booking it. So pleasantly suprised, thank you. Leo’s got a brilliant memory, he also amazes me as to how he knows all the lyrics off by heart to all the songs he sings and even the songs he sings that are recorded by other artists. One song I recall Leo singing was a Shiana Twain number. That was at Blackpool’s Brannigan’s night club eleven years ago.

  39. Jaafar Atwi says:

More than I can say, one of my favorite songs since 80’s. Wish you long life filled with joy and success.

  40. C says:

Leo’s a wonderful guy. I’m a true devoted lifetime fan of Leo’s and I’m so excited about seeing you again Leo. Roll on the beginning of next month so lucky got near the front too. Will bring those articles with me, for you to keep when you were fire hero at the King’s Hotel in 1967. Have got them out ready. So lucky Leo still delivers brilliant music and entertainment. You do exceptionally very well Leo. I can relate to a great many of your songs. Leo, You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, always. Going to listen to some more of you today. See you soon Leo x

  41. Krystine Sayer Brown says:

Hey Leo! if I were you I wouldn’t keep deleting my messages. They are the only ones posted in the past three days!!!!! I guess the fan pool is getting pretty thin for aging washed up rock stars from the seventies who have to rely on apearences on fucking kid shows and concerts in old folks homes to make a meager attempt at maintaining a career that never realy got that big to begin with! So leo, what’s it like on the celebrity D list you fuckin’ wannabe!

  42. I Can Dance says:

o yes a surprise feeling. I saw you on the Wiggles on you tube the other day, wondering what its all about. You are so good Leo, in all that you do.

  43. Jered Reynolds says:

Leo’s always in my heart. I often listen to your cd ‘At His Very Best’, brilliant album cd that one is. My other fave Leo Sayer album cds are Leo Sayer and Just A Boy. Got a Just A Boy picture book and words by Leo Sayer its absolutely super. Be good if there’s a chance of buying a copy of the making of ‘Don’t Wait Until Tomorrow’ download featured on the website you had before this one, on DVD. The making of that album’s very interesting.

  45. C says:

I remember the first time I got laid, “When I need you” was playing on the tape deck. The amazing thing is I just ran into that girl yesterday and have been invited to her house for drinks friday night! After 20+ years she still looks incredible! (we havn’t seen each other in over 20 years). You better believe I will be bringing some of my leo sayer cd’s and leaving the wedding ring at home :-) Daddy’s gonna have some fun this weekend! What the wife and kids don’t know wont hurt them. Thanks for the music Leo.

  49. Camille Romano says:

I would like a copy of “Living in a Fantasy” cd. My cd copy was lost in a flood in my garage. Where can I find one at a reasonable price? Thank you.

  50. I Can Dance says:

The little note book’s great Leo, that pops up when you click on the book icon with the words extra extra on the white table of your homepage, very smart and more nice surprises come up when clicking on your other picture icons of your homepage. Be good if there’s any chance of saying hello to you again at the show. Hope you’re enjoying your little break, Leo.
