HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

So, here’s my last minute New Year Wish List:

Peace on Earth
Troops out of the Middle East
A Democrat in the White House
Only movies with plots to be released this year
And only songs that have melodies we all can sing
More kindness and consideration shown to animals
Gun control that works, or if not a total ban
An end to racial and religious bigotry and segregation

Okay, I know I’m dreaming, but why not…?

I do hope you all have the most fabulous holiday season, because whatever your beliefs, faith or persuasion - this is a time for all of us to get together and celebrate our humanity and love for each other.

PS. It’s nice and warm down here in Sydney right now. Last night I performed at a fabulous Christmas Carols concert here in the city – around 10, 000 people attended. I felt very emotional leading John Lennon’s “Happy Christmas (War is over)” with the entire cast. The lyrics seem to offer so much hope, and it was great to hear 80 singers onstage and the whole crowd joining in. I’m back in the studio right now, very excited to be recording my first official Australian album - more news about that later. I’ll be coming to London briefly in mid January, proudly supporting BREAKTHROUGH, the cancer charity, by singing at their annual fundraising ball. It’s going to be an exciting year, and there’s lots of plans afoot. In fact, I’m turning SIXTY on May 21st 2008, and I promise you I’ve no intention of slowing down. That’ll be a big celebration……
